Rosco – tapan/goč

Rosco Heck has been performing Balkan, Turkish and Greek percussion in Melbourne for the last 15 years. He studied Middle-Eastern percussion in Istanbul, Carnatic percussion with ghatam master V. Suresh in Chennai, and with Adrian Sheriff in Melbourne. He has travelled extensively through Serbia and the Balkans collecting instruments and studying the Goč (a large 2 sided drum). He has been a core member of Opa from its beginnings.
